It is rare that we would send out an e-mail like this with some crazy expensive wine, but this is a special occasion. When you are offered ultra rare large format bottles from a crazy good vintage from two of your favorite producers you have no choice but to share!!
How rare are these bottles?
- We have never been offered magnums of these products except in off vintages.
- In the case of Marcoux Vieilles Vignes - I have only seen a magnum twice, ever.
Given that the 2010 Marcoux Vieilles Vignes sold out at our Rhone tasting a few weeks ago at a not so friendly $154 per bottle we're pretty sure you agree with us that these wines are incredibly special. So, perhaps you are looking for a special anniversary bottle, 40th Birthday bottle, perhaps your children were born in 2009 or 2010 and you want to get them a wine from their birth year that will last a LONG time. Just for fun we've included some rose magnums and 3 liter bottles from the breakout hit of the summer, Puech-Haut Prestige. While we have been out of the regular 750ml bottles of Puech Haut for over a month, these beauties just arrived this morning!
