The 2010 Banshee Mordecai was everything we thought it could be and then more. You all bought it at a record pace not just for a month or two, but all year long. So when we heard the 2010 had run out and 2011 was coming our way we were worried. Could it top 2010? People...this wine is insane for the money. For $19.99 it is outstanding. For $14.99 per bottle by the six pack, I challenge you to find a better $15 wine. Seriously, if you find one we want to put it on the shelf.
What is in Modecai? Well, it is a blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Cab Franc from Howell Mountain, Oakville, Rutherford and Coombsville with some Syrah, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, Grenache, Montepulciano, Mourvedre, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir and Carignane thrown in for good measure. Yes, you read that correctly.
