Plus a few surprises!!

When we opened up over five and a half years ago, little did we know we would become one of the largest retailers of Spanish wine in North Carolina. We just assumed people already knew about all the ridiculous values and amazing wines coming out of Spain. One wine that helped put us on the proverbial "map" was Alto Moncayo. If you are wishy washy on Spanish wines (you know, like it pains you to think about that garbage bottle of Rioja you bought at the grocery store) this is a tasting that is going to change your wine tasting paradigm.

Alto Moncayo was born from the amphetamined mind of Spanish wizard Jorge Ordonez and Spanish wine powerhouse Bodegas Borsao. The grenache vineyards, nestled high up in the Moncayo mountains (we've been there and the trek was a little on the scary side) produce some of the most powerful and robust wines we've tasted. Throw in Australian winemaking wizard Chris Ringland and you've got some serious wine on your hands! Yes, there is an Australian making a Spanish wine for the US market!

We'll have some other Spanish gems on the machine for you to try, one of which may be the best $10 wine we have tasted all year. So stop in this weekend, take a break from all that California Cabernet you've been drinking, and join us for some amazing Spanish juice!

As always, we appreciate your business and thank you for your support!!
