We now have had our last drop of this wine arrive (it came in yesterday) and after that this deal is DONE until the wine is made again (it is not produced in every vintage). Its flagship wine Evelyn’s Cuvee, priced at a not so friendly $80 per bottle is cherished by Pinot Noir aficionados around the nation. After selecting the barrels that go into its single-vineyard Pinot program – Pisoni, La Colline, Rio Vista (bottlings that range in price from $40 to $70 each) -- there will be a small number left over that just don’t quite make the "cut". If there are enough of them to make a few hundred cases, winemaker Jeffrey Fink bottles them under the T. Solomon Wellborn label. Director of Sales Ernie Vandegrift, over the last three years, has allowed Winestore. to be the only retailer outside of California to sell this wine (and one of only two in the USA). This year we have a bit more but we don't expect it to last long! Our advice after tasting it: stock up and buy as much as you can. Who knows if there will be another one next year?
