Solomon Tasting!

Eric Solomon Wines You've Never Seen!

Saturday November 7th
11am-8pm

Charlotte's favorite wine importer brings a treasure trove of wines into the United States - and yet we only really get to show you just a handful at a time. That is why this weekend we are pulling out the Solomon Selections that you may have never seen. Made in miniscule quantities, most of these wines will absolutely wow you for the price (as Solomon usually is able to do). So all weekend long we are going to be looking at some of the "other" Solomon wines - and we are pretty sure you are going to love them as much as we do.

Some of what we are tasting will include:

2006 Domaine La Garrigue "Vayqueyras"

This is the flagship offering from our 2009 best selling wine - Domaine La Garrigue Cuvee Romaine. Well, it's a flagship with a not so flagship amazing price of only $14.99. Phenomenal juice that would also just happen to go perfectly on the dining room table.

2005 La Peira

We featured the entry level offerings from this new winery a few weeks ago and recently uncovered some of the high end cuvee still available for retail (only 1,500 bottles were produced for the whole planet). It's big, it's rich, it's fun, its impossible to find - it's just about everything we love about wine!

2006 Chateau Saint-Roch Chimeres

Wine writer Robert Parker's Wine Advocate recently commented that "I want to re-emphasize this wines amazing quality (not even to mention for the price!)" and we could not agree more. Another quality Grenache and Carignan offering that will pair well with Thanksgiving Dinner or Carolina Panthers football.

2007 Mas Alta "El Pics" Priorat

A brand new offering from Bodegas Mas Alta from the crazy popular Priorat region of Spain (Clos Erasmus anyone?). If you love Priorat - you know, wines like Marge, Laurel, Mas D'en Compte etc. - then you are going to love this wine at what is, for Priorat, a very friendly price.

2007 Domaine LaFage Cote SUD

You have probably loved some of the white wines made by Jean Marc LaFage...wines like LaFage Cote Est and Novellum Chardonnay. Chances are though, that you have never seen his red wines - and they are, for only $12, quite a treat.

2005 Paisajes VII

If it is from Rioja does it have to be from the Tempranillo grape? No it does not! This is what people are talking about when they talk about "Moden" Rioja. Full of fruit, lush and vibrant and 100% Garnacha. Stunning wine!

This is just a sample of some of the great Solomon wines we will be featuring this weekend. There will be more! So swing on by, bring some friends, and enjoy some wonderful wine on a great fall Saturday!

Cheers,
The Team @ Winestore.
